Mula2, CC ingat nak propose tajuk tentang tasks in power quality memandangkan CC ade experience dengan department power quality during industrial training.
tapi lepas bincang dengan en hamdan, ketua unit power quality kat TNB-ES, dia cakap, company nye data is P & C huhu
so hancurlah harapan CC nak wat project tu :P
Lepas tu tepikir nak wat solar..tapi Dr. Vigna cakap koman sangat..hmm..
So CC decide tggu tajuk kua je..

akhirnya 10 minit before registration iaitu 12.50 pm CC dah wat list priority untuk tjuk2 :P

Title: | Calculation and Estimation of Losses in Enclosures of a 3-phase Common Enclosed Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS). |

Synopsis: | Electrical losses in enclosures of a 3-phase common enclosed GIS are mainly due to eddy currents in the enclosure. The losses can only be estimated as they depend on many parameters, e.g. permeability of material, wall thickness, current in the conductors, etc. Student shall study and analyze the sources of electrical losses in GIS enclosures and establish the relationship of the losses with design parameters as above for the enclosures including the geometry of enclosure. A comparison of losses between different type of materials shall be made for example steel and aluminium at various wall thicknesses. Student is required to use a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to model the enclosures and calculate the losses at various design configurations. A model of 3-phase common enclosed GIS rated at 132kV from actual GIS substation design in TNB will be applied for this project. The estimated losses will be calculated based on the result of FEA and compared for different types of materials. The optimum design of enclosures with regards to the material, wall thickness, geometry, etc. shall be achieved after considering all parameters involved in the calculation. |
